Grandpa and Grandma's house

We made it to CO and are living with my parents who have graciously offered us their home for the 5-weeks we are here. Emmalyn is in heaven with all the open space she has to play in, the grassy backyard, the fun toys, meeting new people and getting to entertain and be entertained by gpa, gma, Derek and Jack and Ryan's family. Plus, she had the opportunity to go to her very first baseball game!!! We love grandpa and grandma's house and we don't want to leave. Emmalyn all dressed up for the Rockies vs Dodgers game

Easter weekend

Easter weekend we traveled to Logan with Candace, Dan and Eisley to visit great grandpa McClellan and great grandma Anderson; both are in their 94th year and going strong. It was fun watching Emmalyn interact with both of them and to see the three generations together. We are so lucky to have such loving and amazing grandparents who have been through so many trials in their lifetime but have endured them well and are examples of strength and faith. Thank you grandpa and grandma.

On Easter Sunday Emmalyn got to wear her favorite dress given to her by her aunt Linda and uncle Ryan. We have been waiting until she was big enough to wear it. She was so stinkin' cute and loved playing with all the bows and ribbons on the dress. Emmalyn is now 4 months old and doing the cutest things. On Friday, at grandpa's house she sat up on the couch without any assistance. She loves to stick her tongue out and blow spit bubbles at the same time; her daddy taught her that. She has also started to laugh out loud, babble and show more of her personality. Her favorite songs to sing right now are "Once there was a snowman" and "Patty cake, patty cake". Just recently she has started to suck on my chin when she is either hungry or just playing around. She's an animal and a blast to play with. We love our sweet girl so much and look forward to all the fun things she will learn to do in the coming months. In a week we will be leaving Provo and heading to CO for a five-week internship and then starting June 1st we will go to San Francisco for a twelve-week internship. We are very excited for these two opportunities and look forward to spending time with our friends and family for a few weeks. Colorado here we come!!!!

Saturday morning naps

One Saturday while Joey was sleeping I asked Emmalyn if she wanted to take her morning nap with daddy and she gave me a BIG smile. I put her in her daddy's arms and she was thrilled. She loves every minute that she gets to spend with her daddy and he loves it too!! Aren't they the cutest ever?

She can JUMP...

In a previous post I had mentioned that Emmalyn loves to stand and walk with our assistance. Not only does she love to stand and walk but she gets a kick out of jumping now. The proof is in the video below. She cracks me up and I love it!! She is my little frog.

Sweet Home Colorado

It's been decided, Emmalyn loves Colorado. We've been able to make two trips to CO, in February and again in March to visit both the Olson and Thorpe families. Emmalyn loved meeting her aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Sleeping with aunt JackBig hug from uncle Ryan
The trip in March was extra special because Michelle and the kids were there which meant that the whole family was together. Emmalyn loved being with her cousins who just adored her, as Blaine would say, "She's cute, I like her...what's her name?" Madison was such a big helper and loved holding Emmalyn
Emmalyn went to her first pedicure with the girls but fell asleep, of course. She follows after her mom; she likes putting things over her eyes while she is sleepingEmmalyn loved sitting on aunt Michelle's baby bump...Emmalyn and cousin Eisley took their first bath together

New Things Every Day

Emmalyn amazes me; she does something new everyday. Here is what she is doing these days... She has found her hand and enjoys sucking on it whenever possible...
She is blowing bubbles...and she is GOOD at it!!
She loves to sit up and look around at everything...

Believe it or not, she loves to stand up with a little assistance from mom and dad...

We are thinking of getting her one of those entertainment saucer things that she can stand up in because it gets a little tiring holding her up all day. She makes me smile with all the new things she is trying to do. What a big girl she is!!!
